R100 Bakkie Campaign

Epworth Children’s Village in Germiston provides a safe and loving home to 80 children who have been abused, abandoned, orphaned or neglected. All the children have been placed at Epworth by the courts and require special care and lots of love.  27 of our children are HIV+.

Epworth also helps keep families together through its therapeutic treatment centre, which provides therapeutic assistance to children and families in crisis. Our psychologists, occupational therapists and social worker work hard to make sure families stay together and to prevent children from being placed in children’s homes.

We really need a bakkie! The bakkie we have is beyond repair and we need to buy a new one soon. The bakkie is used to collect groceries, to drop off food parcels for families in need, to collect donations, to take individual children to the doctor and other medical appointments. The child care workers and the social worker also use the bakkie to make home visits to families in crisis and much much more.

Please help us by donating R100 (or any amount) towards our bakkie and by forwarding this request to 10 other people. We only need 1 200 people to each donate R100 and we will have enough money for a bakkie!
